Last night while jamming with Adrian, I put together a basic I-IV bassline on the JamMan. I then started fiddling with the knobs on the green Line 6 Delay Modeling pedal and found this ridiculous, nearly space-like effect. Thinking it was funny, I played a little with it, but tired of the tone in moments.
When I bent down to change the tone, however, Rosita was laying down, nose to the amp. And she kept laying there as if she was totally and utterly invested in the tone. It seemed to soothe Rosita, who is, on any given day, as neurotic as shit.

I've always loved "Mr. Blue" and have it pretty-much memorized. I started playing, recorded it in one take, fiddled with the mix a little, and uploaded it to YouTube. Blam. There you go. When I get angry at myself, I try to do something sort-of creative.
I shouldn't be recording one-take versions of 1959 hits at a time like this; I should be reading the texts I need to read for my University course this summer. Still, it's nice to pound out a little recording, even if its quality is as raw as maggots.
I plugged the guitar directly into the board. Meh. So I wanted to see how the S5's built-in microphone sounded on the video setting. So, using the front-facing camera, I made this video of me noodling away to a JamMan loop I'd recorded a couple minutes earlier. Am I playing my best? No. Does the microphone sound ok? Enough, considering the dull, sloppy performance.
So there. Enjoy a few seconds of messy guitar solo. |
