Today I recorded some Ebow on "Hello, Old Friend, Hello." I hadn't planned for the ebow to appear on the track, but I came ot realize that I just don't have the time to get some proper piano done on the track. So the ebow's taken its place.
It sounds pretty good. Ebows always create a unique, clear sound. I recorded four takes, intending to cut little parts out and piece together a single good take. However, with all four takes playing together, I have a pretty neat wall of sound. I'm not certain that I want to break them up anymore.

![]() I'd just like to point out that this week's episode of The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe is particularly good. Their little commentary on the Michiu Kaku interview was pleasant and reasonable, the ethical discussion about veganism was interesting and intelligent, and there seemed to be a lot of good, easy-to-use information. Learn with me! My cousin Kelly just posted this song to Facebook. I don't know much about it, but I think I've heard this guy on CBC. I enjoy it because I know I could never make music like it. It's a good little ditty with a warm wall of sound. Enjoy this track from Jerry Leger. |
