A list of good things in my life.

• I have a family who I love.
• I have a family who love me.
• I have a secure, unionized job.
• I have opportunities to make music.
• I have opportunities to take photographs.
• ​I have a dog who still goes for walks with me despite my inability to protect her.
• I can see lots of beautiful things in my boring little town.
• I've lost around 40 pounds in the last year and a half.
• I can still write coherent sentences despite my busyness.
• My students still seem to like me despite my brain's poor performance as of late.
• I own a Fender Rhodes Mark I.
• I have a wife who cares for me and admonishes me to improve myself.
• People still give me chances even when I've let them down.
• I have access to counsellors when needed and can find access to therapists and psychologists.
• Nobody thinks it's worth their tome to troll me on Twitter or YouTube or what have you.
• I can pay the rent and most of my bills.
• I'm tech-savvy enough to generally understand the new marks program the Ministry of Education wants me to use.
• My daughters regularly express their love for me and make me lots of weird and crafty gifts.
• My colleagues respect me despite my general absence from the lunch room.
• I have a Master's degree that I'm likely to finish, although that's hard to believe most days.
• I don't believe in any deities or unfounded spiritual ideas, so I don't waste my time worrying about hell or salvation or [insert stress-inducing religious control method here].
• Although I'm not tapping into it right now, I know I have the potential to excel at my job.
• I'm of generally good health.
• I rarely need to take part in angry conversations or arguments.
• Although I don't fully believe it, all in all I am of sound mind.
• Although I'm not in good shape, per se, I'm more healthy than I was a few years ago.
• As a result, I look OK in pictures, even candid ones, again.
• I have suffered from no major sicknesses for many years.
• Generally, despite plenty of rantworthy issues, I'm happy enough to handle life.
